German festival to screen Iranian doc ‘A journey to Amadai’

Iranian doc ‘A journey to Amadai’ is to be screened at Internationales Bergfilm-Festival Tegernsee in Germany.

Iranian doc ‘A journey to Amadai’ has been scheduled to go on screen at the 15th edition of Internationales Bergfilm-Festival Tegernsee in Germany.

Directed by Farshad Afshinpour, the documentary will go on screen at the competition section of the event.

The 61-minute documentary is about more than 30 animal species, including eagles and wolves, in the mountainous Amadai, a region in the western Iranian province of Hamedan. All of them withstand harsh winters and scalding summers.

The Internationales Bergfilm-Festival Tegernsee is annually being held in the scenic Tegernsee Valley with its lake and mountains.

The festival is designed as a competition, receiving film submissions from around the globe every year. In recent years, the festival has attracted up to 6,000 viewers to its screening venues.

The event is slated for October 18-22, 2017.
